Stop passing to your teammate.
Your teammate should always be positioned behind you, never parallel.
Unless it’s a direct pass and you know the opponents have weak coverage, passing in solo queue 2v2s is the worst decision you can make.
Here’s an example of a player making this common mistake. They try to force a pass to their teammate and get punished immediately.

@JimmytotheJammy @kinseh_ Also if you never challenge your opponent can just dribble the ball into your net

@JimmytotheJammy @kinseh_ not saying gg after your 1v1 opponent plays a belter of a game is more toxic than any of these things icl

Stop going back to defense.
Too many players rotate back too quickly, preventing their team from creating pressure.
This forces teammates to solo play through multiple opponents instead of having a passing option.
Instead, be more patient and see if you can position yourself as an outlet for your team.
Here’s a member of my community I’ve been working with showcasing this perfectly:

I haven’t seen people talking about this scene in #Adolescence episode 3 where Jamie subtly switches from petulant child to a cocky boy. This shows how manipulative he actually can be. The character is so incredibly layered and the acting here is in one word: BRILLIANT

@TomP_02 @TRHLofficial Point stated, subsequented with reasonable justification.

@MachtFisch I agree if the players don’t sign up properly then I have no sympathy for them, mistakes have consequences.
On the other hand jchammer has some pretty good evidence of it being a problem with the website so if that’s the case they should be let in
English

If you make a mistake, you have to live with the consquences.
Do i feel empathy / sympathy from the players POV? Absolutely. Does it suck for them? Of course.
Did the admins make the correct decision? Yes, 100%.
It would have been a difference, if it was a website error, but given it wasnt, the decision is correct imo.
The only reason people care this much, is because the "affected players" are well known personalities / pros. They don't stand above the deadlines. The backclash would've been insignificant if it was a GC3 team or smth.

I curl up with John & Paul: A Love Story In Songs - a book I’ve been waiting to read with a quite insane degree of anticipation ever since @mrianleslie first mentioned he might be writing it…
