@kowalchukfarms1 We have our dryer under a roof. Keeps weather off it when not in use which is most of the time. 31 years old and still good. First year for blower. Quieter than grain slapping in a down spout. Less total horsepower. No climbing

Anyone build an enclosure over their grain dryer? Is it worth it? I also seen a discussion on here about blowers for grain handling and most of the comments are they are noisy and not dependable? #AgTwitter

@TompaBarrie I had a neighbor who always grew a field of red clover for seed. He always harvested it with a 4000 Ford and an AC 60 combine.

Brought our 2002 9750 sts out of storage and converted it into a dedicated red clover machine. 2 days and no problems. Not bad for a 5000 hr machine. Lots of dust under sunny skies.

@farmerschneck @WheatPete Don’t write it off yet Warren. 2 springs ago had several acres in a 30 ac field completely pastured off. Too spread out to not treat so sprayed 28 and by first fungicide time you couldn’t tell it from the rest.

@farmerjim13 Not with a ccs but with a flexi coil third tank. Plant by the lb of seed. Bit of math involved. Singulation is very poor but it was out first attempt and became our first field that went over 200bu. Way back in 1995 or so

This is completely outside the box, but bear with me. Has anybody tried drilling corn with a CCS type airseeder? I know it's not the right tool for the job, but curiosity is killing me. It wouldn't be singulated, but the rate should be very accurate meter to meter.

We’re all done cutting hay now for the last time and so the Pottinger is for sale. If you need the tractor it can go also. Excellent condition. 200K for both. 60K for the mower.

@Aaron_Bowman_ Aaron. We’ve clipped cover crop clover for years using a 20ft rotary mower. Cut it as low as you can. It will even out the stand by allowing more light to get to those little ones that are late sprouting. Plus knocks down any pesky weeds that might show up.

So question for Ag Twitter. I can’t find research to support my idea so asking if people have information. Is it better to “clip” the red clover to initiate regrowth again or leave it and let it keep growing to repro stage? This is a cover crop not removing the biomass

Anyone out there roll corn stalks down in no-till soybeans? I’m assuming it makes harvest a bit cleaner with a cleaner cutting job?
