Today I'm getting my first 3D printer, picked Prusa because I like the idea of open source and getting things for the long haul.

I'm using a single page for my Zettelkasten in Logseq, wondering if people have pro's / con's on why to do it in separate pages vs single page approach.

@dariods_ @logseq @rroudt I'll add to this that even with the DB version bringing a lot of cool features the core is still thankfully the same.

@dariods_ I only know PowerBI as the place that has dashboards with complaints by people that don't know anything about the infrastructure I help build. Hope you're getting better mileage out of that.

Learning about database normalization and data engineering principles has slowed down my Excel model-building skills😑 Now I can't look past the 'sleeping dogs'- every quick fix feels like a missed opportunity for proper structure (and a desire to build a proper database!)

I'm not very active on social media right now, the reason is mostly audiobooks and a refocus on the basics like exercise.

@AidfulAI @OnyxBoox As most attack vectors will come through apps, this is a very effective layer of protection. Add malware detection and application sandbox for 2 additional layers. tl;dr - I'm not worried about the security of my Boox Go7 until the play store stops.

@AidfulAI @OnyxBoox Since I was behind my PC now I had time to look this up. Android version for security are less relevant when the actual play store is on the device due to project Mainline in Android 10. This basically puts a wall between the apps and kernel source.android.com/docs/core/ota/…

If you intend to buy an e-ink Android tablet from @OnyxBoox, take a look at the video shared by @ToolsonTech 👇 My Boox story: I currently use a Boox Tab Ultra (10" black and white e-ink) and have sold my Boox Tab Mini (7" color e-ink). I strongly agree with the appeal of color, which I wanted so much that I bought a second Boox after my first one. However, I didn't use it as often as I thought for highlighting and disliked the required backlight (as Bas also highlighted in his video). I'm fine with a 10-inch device for reading, as it mainly sits on my lap — sometimes folded, sometimes with the magnetic triangle stand of the cover. I use it primarily in landscape mode. My biggest problem is the old Android version. For my device, the Tab Ultra, it is Android 11, and that version is already EOL. I've removed many apps to minimize the security risk of using an outdated Android version. New versions are running Android 12, which likely goes EOL in 2025. 🥲

@sindoc @rroudt From what i know all filters are applied after everything is loaded. That's in part also a disadvantage from the current structure that has everything in memory with markdown as backend.

@rroudt @ToolsonTech Perhaps there's a way to configure the Graph view with some filters? This way, the rendering engine doesn't have to start with loading all the nodes in the graph?

@OzolinsJanis The problem here is that the distraction side has teams at the largest tech companies in the world working on keeping you there as much as possible. So as the saying goes, easier said then done.

@sindoc @rroudt The one upgrade I did making it a lot faster? I upgraded my video card last week from a 1070ti to a 4070 Super. Will need to load the graph on a slower system to confirm though.

@sindoc @rroudt Loading the same graph in the DB version is near instant, but that's not a fair compare since the import has many issues so I'm sure that graph is like 10-20% smaller.
