Here's why Carvana is absolutely slaughtering car dealerships: I found a truck I wanted, brand new or I would have used Carvana Called the dealer and talked to a salesman whom I know btw "Hey I found this truck I want, I've already researched, don't need to test drive, I just want to buy it" Salesman: "Ok when can you come in and test drive? " Me: "I don't need to test drive, I've driven them, this is the one I want. I'm pretty busy so is there a way to just do the paperwork digitally and do you offer delivery?" Salesman: "Sorry we'll have to have you come in for that and go through our finance office" Me: "Ok, I work every day until 5. I see you're open until 7 tonight can I just come by after work and pick it up?" Salesman: "We are open until 7 but can you be here by 5?" Me: "No, I work until 5 so it would be like 530. That should be enough time right?" Salesman: "How about Thursday the same time?" Dude I'm literally trying to throw money at you and make this the easiest sale of your life

@indexnforgetit @lowstakesdre Blame politicians for keeping DTC such a burden. You should be able to order the car you want right online, know exactly what your monthly payment is when you’re ordering it, and pick it up.

@indexnforgetit Direct to consumer is the way to go. The only reason why car dealerships still exist is because of laws protecting them. All you need is a showroom, and service bays by the manufacturer (IE Tesla). No one wants to sit in dealerships wondering if they’re getting ripped off anymore

Airlines have to stop lying about delays. Computer says we departed at 9:35. We just took off at 10:06. And we were scheduled to take off at 8:40. This after last nights delayed flight stranded me in Dallas overnight. We need better comprehensive statistics to fix this ongoing problem

@Tripify_ That’s my point. Having a Worlds team isn’t an accomplishment by itself if the routine isn’t competitive for the division. I’d rather see a gym dominate a level that fits their athletes than force a Worlds team and spend all that money just to struggle all season.

Tesla driver is sitting on his phone at a red light when a motorcycle cop notices. Instead of pulling him over right away, the officer takes off his body cam, records the driver using his phone, then swings around behind him and lights him up for the ticket. 😭 Worth it or should cops have bigger things to worry about?
