Today I wrote President Biden to ask him to stand up for child-free people in his DNC speech next week. I ❤️ the WH auto-responder I got, but can think of one small edit I'd make. Why not just "American people?"

infuriating to see men suggesting that the purpose of older women is to assist in raising children when their true purpose is to solve crimes.

@shannoncoulter This 'future of society' claim is ridiculous and they know it. Every person without children who pays taxes is supporting the future of our society. Our tax dollars pay for the public schools that others will be sending their kids to, yet we will never need.

Has anyone asked Vance (or whatever he's calling himself these days) yet if he includes former Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice in his list of women without kids who don't "have a direct stake in society?"

In addition to Ellen Peck's influential book "The Baby Trap," check out "Pronatalism: The Myth of Mom and Apple Pie," which she co-authored with Judith Senderowitz in the early 1970s. We've been talking about the insidious dangers of pronatalism for decades!

@shannoncoulter The founders of the National Organization for Non-Parents were expert organizers. They created groups across the US to open the door for people who didn't want to have children. PLUS their work was covered by national media...unlike today!

I just watched @TrixieFilms' great doc about the rich history of child-free people's political voices. Women who wrote books/articles on the topic in 70's & 80's got intense backlash, but they also heard from so many women relieved someone had said it all out loud, at last.

NEW VANCE AUDIO: In an interview from 2020, JD Vance agrees with a podcast host who says having grandmothers help raise children is “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female.” He also agrees when the host says grandparents helping raise children is a "weird, unadvertised feature of marrying an Indian woman."
