This clip is one of the most important things you’ll understand about what’s happening right now: demoralization. Yuri Bezmenov broke it down years ago and it’s almost eerie how accurate it is. 1️⃣ Demoralization This is the stage where people literally lose the ability to process truth. Facts don’t matter. Evidence doesn’t matter. You can hand them proof and they’ll still reject it because their identity is now tied to the lie. This is why you’re watching people double down even when they’re objectively wrong. 2️⃣ Destabilization Now institutions start losing credibility. Nothing is trusted. Everything feels chaotic. People don’t know what’s true anymore, so they cling tighter to whatever narrative they already chose. 3️⃣ Crisis This is the breaking point. Reality hits hard. Something happens that forces confrontation with truth. 4️⃣ Normalization After the chaos, people accept a new version of reality because they’re exhausted, confused, and easier to control. And here’s the part people don’t want to hear: Once someone is fully demoralized, truth alone won’t wake them up. It usually takes consequences. Real ones.

Eva Perón once said: “Where there’s a need, a right is born.” That means that someone’s need (whatever that is) is a blank check on someone else. This idea poisoned the minds of Argentinians for decades (and to this day!). By contrast, in America, where there’s a need, a *market* is born— that is the predominant idea when America is at its best, and it stems from its founding values. This difference is not trivial and partially explains the gap in both countries’ degrees of freedom and prosperity.

The Senate unanimously passed my bipartisan bill with @SenatorBanks to help curb the fentanyl crisis.   Tyler’s Law—named in honor of Tyler Shamash, an Angeleno whose life was lost after fentanyl went undetected in a hospital—will expand testing and help prevent more families from facing this kind of tragedy.   I urge my colleagues in the House to pass Tyler’s Law.

The White House has warned Iran to accept what it called a military defeat, or the US will “hit harder” than before. Iran has reportedly rejected the US 15-point plan to end the war, labelling the demands “unreasonable”.

"He’s hearing from older [medical] grads struggling just to get residency and he’s not sure he wants to keep paying for school if there may be no jobs at the end." A future doctor. That is the collapse of a society's future.

While at the gym today I noticed a young man working at the front desk staring intently at his laptop. You could see the stress on his face. Before I left, I asked if he was in college and he said yes, so I asked what he was studying and he told me pre med, which led into a conversation about why he had been staring so intently at his computer. He showed me his screen and told me he was literally debating dropping his current classes while he could still get a refund. He’s hearing from older grads struggling just to get residency and he’s not sure he wants to keep paying for school if there may be no jobs at the end. That conversation today is exactly why this fight matters. A pre-med student, halfway through the hardest path you can take, sitting there debating whether to quit… not because he failed, but because he doesn’t believe there’s a future waiting for him at the end. We are now at a point where high-achieving American students are questioning whether merit even matters anymore. They’re watching graduates struggle for jobs. They’re seeing doors close before they even get there. They’re being told, in every indirect way possible, that effort isn’t enough. This is how a country collapses its own future... quietly, systematically, and in plain sight. You don’t need a war when you can convince your next generation to give up before they even start. That’s what this is. This is not just about jobs. This is about whether Americans still have a place in their own economy. And if we don’t fight this now, hard, loud, and without apology, there won’t be anything left for the next generation to fight for.

🚨 Díaz-Canel Welcomes International Activists as Speakers Vow to Defend Cuba with “AKMs Ready” This footage comes from Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel’s meeting with the Nuestra América Convoy and was posted to his social media without a translation. Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin appears alongside speakers reacting to President Trump’s interest in liberating Cuba by declaring that they would “gladly defend” the island and, if necessary, have “our AKMs ready.” That is a reference to the AKM, the assault rifle that succeeded the AK-47. For all the rhetoric about “solidarity” and humanitarianism, moments like this tell a very different story.

So @RoyalMail has just emailed me claiming that there was nobody in to receive a delivery at my work address, which has a 24/7 reception including on Christmas Day. Frankly I find this implausible to say the least.
