I think the biggest thing off LeBron’s back in this new role was when he finally lost his 10 point streak. I think he felt like it was an obligation to try and continue it, considering it’s one of the more unbreakable records , but now that it’s gone, he can embrace this role.

Victor has $51 million reasons to lobby for MVP. Winning the MVP award this season or next increases his 5 year max extension by $51 mil. 5 Years, $303 vs. 5 Years $252. Winning the MVP this season is the only way he can qualify early for the 30% max before his 4th season. He could still qualify by winning MVP, DPOY or winning MVP next year. I'd be campaigning too.

The gap between Wemby & SGA on defense is just as big, if not bigger, than the gap between SGA & Jokic on defense. So if defense is that important, like it was last yr in voting, I don't see how Wemby doesn't have the edge for MVP. SGA is good on defense... Wemby is historic.
