Longtime Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu just crossed the floor to join Carney’s Liberals — the 4th Conservative defection in months after Chris d’Entremont, Michael Ma, and Matt Jeneroux.
This is straight-up manufacturing a majority without an election. Canadians voted for a minority Parliament.
Not this.
Remember the backroom NDP-Liberal supply-and-confidence deal that propped up Trudeau’s government for years — even after Jagmeet Singh publicly slammed Trudeau and said he didn’t agree?
Yet he still backed him every confidence vote.
Now the same pressure hits these floor-crossers. They stood in the House, spoke against Liberal policies, and voted NAY… only to flip and join them?
The hypocrisy and flip-flopping is next-level.
What exactly is this costing Canadian taxpayers?
What kind of deals are being cut behind closed doors?
How are we supposed to trust ANY of them when loyalty to the voters who elected them is this disposable?

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals.
In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more.
She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined.
She should honour her word and let voters decide.
