My whole argument is people complaining about US tour dates and small venues when the group is still kind of in rebuild mode and missing IM. The US chart numbers just reflect the current scale of demand

@alwaysedi3 @SonOfAMuppet them making an English album is an attempt to continue appealing to the western audience. The U.S. has over a 150 million more English speakers than the 2nd most. So an all English album not doing well in the states is not great for them. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad album. It’s great

This is what happens when you’re stuck in a bubble. Monsta X has never fallen off, even with the loss of a member. They’ve just had their highest sales last year. Even 1 member down, had their highest wins after and their best charting. They’ve never crumbled

@kyunsfavv Point being is I like the group but you groupies need to start being realistic about how big the group really was and the fall off after a certain member left. The group changed artistic direction and it’s never really stuck. Hence being sent out to play in small venues

The more you chart the more a company gives you of that group. So yes of course they love the music but don’t fool yourself. Charts matter

But judging off these dates and venues it seems pretty clear they are retesting the market during volatile times because they aren’t at the peak of their popularity or relevance . Which is ok but still the reality.

@KShark2211 @kyunsfavv I totally agree with that take. My commentary really is not aimed at fandom like yourself. It’s the complainers who don’t really understand why the tour is being set the way it is. It would be an assault on the sense to try and hate on monsta x. They are a 3 gen staple

@TwoTakeReviews @kyunsfavv So we're on the same page then, because in this economic climate I think it would be crazy to book larger venues. MX haven't toured since before enlistments. Better to have smaller, intimate crowds and a successful tour, than empty seats. They can always come back next year 🤷

@SonOfAMuppet Yes highest sales numbers for them as a group which compared to other bigger groups isn’t very much. It puts them in like the top 25 of male kpop groups. Not the top 15, let alone top 10.

So I don’t know why everyone is acting so shocked they are in smaller venues when they aren’t nearly as popular in the states as they once were
