My dear fellow Nigerians, Today, as I clock another year in the journey of life, I'm filled with joy and gratitude for the opportunity given me to serve this great nation. I want to take this moment to thank Nigerians for their messages, show of love and prayers on the occasion of my 74th birthday. I thank all our citizens for their patriotism, solidarity and support for our administration. To those who have taken space in newspapers or paid for air time on radio and television to wish me well, I thank you immensely. I must thank my wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind and loving words. I also thank Vice President Kashim Shettima for all he said about me. Consistent with my tradition over the years to mark my birthday in line with the mood of the nation each year, I resolved to also observe this year's birthday low key. As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we've faced since we initiated our reforms. I'm glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel, despite the temporary setback caused by ongoing Middle East crisis. The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and to our government. We achieved the gains together. As we march towards the third anniversary of our administration, it is my deepest conviction that we shall succeed in building a brighter future for our citizens and future generations. We are determined to confront some of the challenges we face today, and with your continued support, we shall overcome. Let us continue to work together to build a stronger, prosperous and more resilient nation that will make Nigeria the pride of Africa. Thank you all, and happy 74th birthday to me! Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The Abia and Akwa Ibom comparison is just funny. Read a lot already and I don't have anything else to say. True success will always be what you've done compared to what you could ve done, compared to the potential you possess, & not necessarily compared to what others have done.

@Humbhle_ak @ani_danielson With the kind of investment currently undertaken by Umo Eno, Akwa Ibom will be a top destination spot in the Gulf of Guinea. When you look at his vision with the Ibom medical corridor, the Arise palm resort, the Aviation village etc, you would know these are not mare projects.

@AJShaguy @markessien If you just go through the Arise Agenda, you'll see most of those things you mentioned are currently being worked on. We need a better and more efficient transportation system in the state as well as an industrialization drive but, overall we are not doing badly.

@markessien Great! However, AKWA IBOM has a LOT left to do. The state’s current level of recurrent expenditure is CRAZY! The state needs far more high quality classrooms, PHCs, social housing & transport. Roads are good, but that’s just the half of it!

People think that the roads are good in Akwa Ibom - but you still underestimate it. In less than 10 years the Government will have NO roads left to do, the entire state - including small villages - will all have good roads. Even now it's a really good situation in Nigeria comparison, and it gets better every year.

@sol9440 @EstherUmoh10 There's no LG in Akwa Ibom today that you'll not see a model primary health care centre and a school. Another international hospital is currently under construction along the medical corridor to compliment the ISH. Umo Eno is miles ahead of Alex Otti and Obi combined.

@UtiNature @EstherUmoh10 Lets say peter obi didn't do all these things you mentioned,so does it mean umo eno shouldn't also do them? I want to understand your logic

Just look at Ibom specialist hospital for instance. A place that was meant to be one of the best health facilities in the state, is now an eyesore. And you somehow want me to believe that the government is doing enough with the amount of money that is coming into the state.

Akwa Ibom is one of the highest earners from federal allocation as an oil-producing state. Yet your governor convinced you he needed to join APC so he could secure the Ibom deep sea port project Only to end up in a welcome committee, chasing presidential optics. Meanwhile, Alex Otti is building real industries and changing Abia’s trajectory. One is governance. One is performance art.

Umo Eno is bad but he has completed 31 Arise Model schools and will commission another 31 by May. Over 1000km of road construction projects on going, with over 250km to be commissioned by May. Different projects in different sectors in ALL LGAs but keep insulting your own.
Depegan of Lagos 🇳🇬🇺🇸@Mautiin01

Alex Otti is yet to commission a school he built himself, hospital. Any Tech Hub, massive road projects and not those 2km roads. But he’s the best.😂

@MfonobongLFC @Sifon_Bassey He should share the money for people to be happy, right? Ask the Ibom LED beneficiaries, the children in the Model schools, construction workers at different sites, the market women, the aviation people, the people empowered across the constituencies and so on if they're happy...

@UtiNature @Sifon_Bassey Abia people are really happy with that project. Work through Uyo axis and ask people if they are really happy with Umo Eno performances. Akpabio raised the bar so if you don't surpass him then your performance isn't good. I supported Umo Eno and still do but I'm disappointed

You look at Alex Oti , Abia State Governor, and then look at Akwa Ibom Governor and the rest ,and you can literally recognize what leadership competent and incompetence looks like .
