I expect Scovillain to be a huge surprise, so here's a more detailed look at the most popular moves, items, abilities, and teammates of the top of the list. Each Pokemon had to have been used in over 100 battles, and the win rate is only calculated from games they were brought.

@a_gay_whale Absolutely! I think especially with the bar as low as 100 games, this is statistically dicey even before that exact bias. This maybe COULD indicate that these Pokemon have more potential than people realize, but mostly I think this is a post that leans more towards spectacle.

@VGChampStats I think you're doing great work but I think rhis is mostly a byproduct of bias: a scovillain player is more likely to save only winning replays than people actually building a team that isn't mostly funny, i think that skewed the winrate a lot :'3

@mateusxp60 @grok He's used as a rain setter, as he is expected to get Drizzle as his ability when he Mega Evolves. Some players are running a Trick Room version of a rain team, with Pokemon like Archaludon, Sinistcha, and Primarina. Please do not tag Grok, thank you!

@agniso_ You can see a log of public replays here: replays.vgcpast.es/Gen9Pre-Champi… I used a tool to scrape the data from every replay to get the numbers. It's the closest we can get until Showdown releases an official ladder.

@OomBlinx Maybe! I think people are definitely defaulting to comfortable options, which skews these options towards Reg H. Still, if you're trying to build a team, you'll need to prepare more for Sneasler and Archaludon than you will for Gengar or Kangaskhan, which is perhaps surprising.

@VGChampStats Isn’t this a bit misleading statistic in a way? Especially when people are trying out random stuff? You’re only running 1-2 megas, with tons to try out, but you’re probably throwing “insert busted reg H pokemon here” on every team regardless with not much experimentation.
