How it started….how it’s going. Thanks to @VirginiaDWR for showcasing Penny on this years waterfowl regulations cover. This was one email I was happy to open on vacation.

Deer and fish and elk(?)- Oh my! Did you know that elk were reintroduced in #SWVA in 2012? #VRLI learned from @VirginiaDWR Director Ryan Brown how DWR oversees the conservation and management of wildlife and inland fish and how they regulate hunting, fishing, and boating in VA.

Working downtown means that I get to watch our RVA Falcons, monitored by @VirginiaDWR , every spring right out my office window! Yesterday was fledge day - where the young falcons were set free to fly. I was able to catch one of the males, White, fly and land across the way!!!

@VirginiaDWR Thank you to @VirginiaDWR Conservation Police and biologists for safely capturing and relocating our beloved Elden the Bear! We will miss you Elden. You brought us such joy and excitement! 🐻🫶🏼
