@VisionaryElect @kennygdude @donovanmartin5 They claim credit for movies especially the ones that did well, when snyder was already out. Take Aquaman, Wan and Johns removed nearly everything from how snyder made Aquaman. They declared in was detached from DCEU. It made a billion plus!

From the asinine and horrendous responses I have seen towards Superman/Supergirl and the DCU at large; I think its finally to have a discussion of how much this one man has hurt the DC brand and its public perception in the internet age.

@kennygdude @VisionaryElect @donovanmartin5 Aquaman was written by Geoff Johns which means no snyder by any means. James Wan said they planned AM as standalone movie, therefore no snyderverse at all. Aquaman went to be the highest grossing DC movie of all time.

The Dark Knight was a success but it was not the focal point of the DCEU at all, largely due to the backlash from fans regarding The Dark Knight Rises (which was a mess)

@VisionaryElect @guywgane3 @The4thTurtleNyC Nolan hired Snyder for Man of Steel which Nolan wrote, thus initiating the creation of the DCEU. And Nolan's films had more of the gritty realism you spoke of. The rest of post-Snyder DCEU didn't make close to the same money so audiences clearly wanted what Nolan had established.

i actually have a soft spot for the movie it kinda fucking sucks, but i do enjoy it. (before you're in my replies, i just don't like a lot of what it does, personally.)

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the loudest Snyderverse critics today are only 18–23.When MoS/BvS released, they were around 7–10 years old. Ironically,many of the adults who originally criticized those films have since reappraised them & now view them much more favorably
