@VocaNeokin I don't think finding your identity necessarily means sticking to a genre or style. Maybe your identity is just writing whatever you love.

i've learned a lot in my time away, and i want to share it with y'all. 🧵 (1/7) a big part of my struggle as an artist is that every song i've been writing is a different genre. i may have melodic/harmonic tendencies, but i don't have a consistent "sound".

when i was producing music years ago, i was always frustrated by people saying "i just like the sound of this compressor/saturator/etc" cause a plugin just... does the thing, right? then i got the waves CLA-76 and immediately i understood 😭 like that's my baby. it's magical.

Idk what the point of my existence even is outside of this. Wake up, go to class, feel like a loser, i dont think im even worth anyone’s time and if I was, I would have friends to hang with and i wouldnt feel like my existence is unimportant the second i turn off the PC.

@nadoProducer i've only tried the waves CLA-76 and the UA 1176LN; if you're looking for something close to a real 1176, the UA is better, but i like the CLA's sound and low processing power!

@VocaNeokin How do you like it in comparison to other 1176 emulations, if you've used any of the others? I want to like Waves products, but their subscription model.......
