The Big Ten is expected to come out strongly in support of Wisconsin, per sources. The Big Ten believes that Miami’s actions are “inconsistent with all the work toward a new framework being done by the A4 leagues, including the ACC,” per a source.

Wisconsin releases a statement regarding the departure of Xavier Lucas to Miami. "We have credible information indicating impermissible contact between Xavier and University of Miami football program personnel prior to Xavier’s request to enter the transfer portal." Wisconsin says a "binding" agreement was violated.

Wisconsin fans pre Barry Alvarez had to live through the brutal veer offense years under Don Morton.
In 2023, here comes Phil Longo with a variation of the veer and shoot. Badgers are going set up the run by chucking the ball all over the field. Never thought I'd see the day.

SOURCE: Phil Longo is leaving UNC to go to Wisconsin to become the Badgers OC. He had a prolific offense in Chapel Hill and helped develop Drake Maye into a star this year. He's had a strong relationship with Luke Fickell for awhile and he interviewed for the Cincy OC before.

Every time I watch Coastal Carolina play I see creative extensions of their run game that Wisconsin could easily implement. Perfect example is this orbit motion read where they key the apex defender. If the apex comes down they throw it out there. If not, run it. Simple concept.
