Currently with Tatran Prešov in the Slovakian top flight, striker Shayon Harrison’s career took him to Romania, Australia, the Netherlands and Finland and also a short spell with AFC Wimbledon in 2021. Welcome to WOPA Shayon and thank you @SUEPAssoc for putting us in touch. #589

We’ve received some fan mail for @efan_ekoku1 all the way from Australia. When I let him know I don’t think Efan could quite believe it either! But we’ll get it to him soon!

Happy 30th Birthday Ronan Curtis who gave us one of the most iconic pictures since the Dons returned to Plough Lane. We’d love to celebrate it by adding you into the ranks of Wimbledon Old Players Association @RonanCurtis1 and all you need do is follow WOPA back on here!

Been in touch with Detzi Kruszyński recently about visiting Plough Lane. The former Dons midfielder has been coaching in the US for many years and wanted to fly over in April, but unfortunately his plans have now changed. So we are hopeful of getting him to a game next season.

Our special guest tomorrow is someone with the unique distinction of playing for the Dons in the Southern League, Football League and AFC Wimbledon (in the inaugural friendly at Sutton United in 2002 at the age of 44!) Welcome back to Plough Lane Kevin Tilley 🔵🟡🤝

Always sad to hear of the passing of a former Don, so RIP Phil Summerill who made 30 appearances scoring 4 goals between 1977-79 including this one v Northampton Town in Wimbledon’s first win as a Football League club. A full obituary will follow in the AFC Wimbledon programme.

Striker Emily Pratley-Jones spent the 2011/12 season with AFC Wimbledon Women and later coached Carshalton Athletic girls and U18 sides. Welcome to WOPA Emily! 🔵🟡🤝 #587

It’s been a while since we added a new WOPA member from the women’s side, so welcome onboard @FrannyAli. The experienced, pacy midfielder spent three seasons with the Dons before leaving for QPR last summer - her sixth London club. Oh and Happy Birthday today Fran! 🟡🔵🤝 #586

Just dropped our special guest Oyvind Leonhardsen back at his hotel after an excellent Meet The Manager night with Johnnie Jackson at Plough Lane. Both were engaging and worth listening to. A good turnout of International and local Dons fans present as well.
