@RobTheHockeyGuy The final 5 games have zero bearing at this point. Keep in mind, negotiations aren't always conveniently concluded to fit dates on the calendar. Any number of things can be going on behind the scenes.

Find it hard to believe that no decisions have been made with Canucks management/coaching staff. They really need to see what happens in these final 5 games?

I imagined ABS fixing the ridiculous misses. The fact we are judging umpires on a 100 mph pitch with filthy movement, and judging them on missing it by 1/10th inch means we have lost the plot.

@CNote_100RR @AlliAlliG Gonna say this respectfully: do some research. From 1900 to the 1960s games were played in 2 hours or less. They only got to 3 hours in late 1990s. Pitchers in both leagues hit until 1973, when games averaged 2.5 hrs. So no, they didn't have "more time".

@AlliAlliG Gonna say this respectfully... you are stupid. Yes pitchers in the NL hit, but there also wasn't a pitch clock to speed everything up so your whole it wasn't an issue then defense doesn't hold up cause they actually had more time then. Why do you think games were 4 hrs?

I sincerely appreciate the interest in my status as a #Canucks season ticket member. Swamped today so wonโ€™t have a chance to reply to all of the posts. Still love the team and am grateful for the opportunities Iโ€™ve had to collab with the organization throughout the years. For now, I will say this: over the past two decades, Iโ€™ve spent a lot of time, energy, and money on the team (by choice). Looking ahead, I am looking to reallocate some of that time, energy, and money. As well, these were joint decisions with my ticket partners.

@DonnieandDhali The No's are clueless. He's avgd 12-13 mins/game throughout his career. He's at 11:30 this season, so not much different. He just isn't getting the job done. Too many people point fingers everywhere but the player. It's pro sports, he's got to do something with the mins he gets.

@SatiarShah He's healthy, finally, and developing some chemistry with Boeser. Looks like a good passer. Smart player. Is he too small for 2C in playoff hockey? Would mean good things if we're actually in a position to find out...

As a hitting coach, I watched players come back to the dugout after making an out. They'd look at me and ask, "What'd you see?" I'd go through the mechanical stuff like back side collapse, front side energy, head came off the ball. Man, it was wearing me out! Finally, I realized I needed to simplify. So the next time a player came back asking what I saw, I just asked him: "Did you get a good pitch to hit?" That usually stopped the conversation. Because if you don't "get a good pitch to hit," it's hard to get a hit. This works in our lives too. Whatever task I take on, I ask myself: Am I putting myself in position to succeed? Did I eliminate distractions? Did I prepare? Did I practice? Am I ready to produce? In life, your "good pitch to hit" probably isn't the same as mine. That's the beauty of it all. I've swung at some bad pitches in my life... so have you. But one bad swing doesn't always end the at-bat. Hitting is a lot like life. It can be simple, but not easy.

Before the ~1980s, there was no portable music player. Youโ€™d go running, rowing, cycling, whatever, for hours on end, in total silence, no sound other than your own thoughts. How did they do it? We will never know

Would Canucks have gotten more for Sherwood if they held on to him until the deadline? Some teams are paying fairly high prices for players. Sherwood would be in big demand right now.
