@jopawo I urge you to return to Mass. I am a carbon copy of you. But a really good Catholic priest helped me to understand during Confession that you are not worshipping the Pope; you're worshipping God. Pope Leo is supposed to be a shepherd, but he is failing miserably at it, that is true. But you still need the grace of God just as all of us do. Return to Mass, get back to a state of grace, and let God sort it out. He needs you now more than ever.

A Protestant told me Catholics always talk about the Church and never about Jesus. Some Catholics answered that Mass is centered on Jesus. He said he meant social media. Social media is not where you learn how people worship. Still, out of courtesy, I will say this clearly. I love Jesus. Jesus Christ is my Lord and my God. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Is that enough?

Currently translating by hand a French book from 1756 by Father Jean Francois de la Marche entitled "Abridged Biographies of Marie Dias, Marie-Amice Picard, and d'Armelle Nicolas, Known as Good Armelle". These young peasant girls have amazing stories. Marie Amice is buried in the Saint Pol-de-Leon Cathedral (now a basilica) in Saint-Pol-de-Leon, France. Happy to share when completed if you're interested.

It is a mortal sin for a parish to not offer daily confession. As a priest you were COMMANDED by Jesus to hear people’s sins and offer absolution, healing, prayer and counsel to them. You were COMMAMDED by Jesus to bind and loose, and to watch Christ’s flock. Offering infrequent confession, aka offering weak sacramental life and watering down the importance of the sacraments, is an atrocity of modernism and one of the many reasons that so many millions have apostasized from the church. “Just go to another parish to confess” Nice protestant mentality. “Nobody would show up” Have you considered that nobody is showing up because parishes offer it once a week, on a Tuesday from 3-3:45PM? Really, we should be holding confession before Mass for 30 minutes (for daily Mass) and an hour (for Sunday Mass). A Catholic should NEVER have to drive to another parish because their home one only has confession once a week. That’s a pastoral failure

Another case of non-Catholic cherry-picking the Bible verses. There was more than one giant in the family of Goliath. While David famously killed Goliath of Gath in 1 Samuel 17, 2 Samuel 21:19–22 and 1 Chronicles 20:5 mention other giants in the same family, including a "Goliath the Gittite" or a brother of Goliath killed later by Elhanan

Who killed Goliath? If you said David, your modern Bible says you're wrong. Open your ESV or NASB to 2 Samuel 21:19. It explicitly says Elhanan killed Goliath. Your Bible has a glaring contradiction in it. And your pastor is too much of a coward to talk about it. 🧵
