Protecting Children on the Online Space

SAFER INTERNET DAY Today is Safer Internet Day, a reminder that creating a safer online world for children is a responsibility we all share. The National Police Service is a member of the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT), bringing together 15 dedicated law enforcement agencies from around the globe to fight child sexual abuse and exploitation online. This crime type knows no borders, and the same goes for our commitment to keeping children safe. By working together with international partners, NGOs, and industry, we aim to create a hostile digital environment for offenders and a safer space for children. Together for a better internet. Together to protect children. Learn more about the VGT and how we collaborate globally: afp.gov.au/virtual-global… #SaferInternetDay #TogetherForABetterInternet #VGT

"Through the National Computer Incident Response Team (KE-CIRT/CC), we uphold the principle that child safety is a collective duty shared by the government, ICT companies, parents, and children. In line with this year’s Safer Internet Day theme, we operationalized the 2025 Industry guidelines for child online protection to ensure digital platforms are safe by design for Kenyan minors."
