Labour MPs have now blocked a social media ban for the third time. At what point do we ask why the same proposal keeps being pushed back to a vote after repeated rejection? Is this about protecting children, or about persisting until the outcome suits them? If something is voted down multiple times, that should signal a lack of consensus, not an excuse to keep forcing the issue. As a parent, it should be my decision whether my child uses social media, not the government’s.
