So proud of my oldest son, Jason. His name means “healer.” He’s named in honor of my older brother who died in a car wreck in 1998. My brother was known for his strength of heart. That legacy lives on through his namesake, my son Jason, who has that same heart of gold.

When who you are is built on what you do, your identity is fragile because it’s dependent on outcomes and the perceptions of others. When performance fades, the question is unavoidable: Who are you now? The irony is that a performance-based identity cracks under the pressure of performance.
