Anyone advocating for Alberta independence needs to get very comfortable with repetition. This movement is going to involve a lot of patient education. Between now and the day of the referendum, we will be correcting the same misinformation again and again. ✅ Crown land is owned by the Alberta government. ✅ Healthcare is already provincially funded. ✅ We are not becoming the 51st state. ✅ Albertans will not lose their pensions. ✅ First Nations do not have a veto over independence. ✅ Treaty land in Alberta was ceded. ✅ “Landlocked” arguments are a non starter. Know the facts. Expect to repeat them calmly and often until voting day.
