My surgery went well yesterday - thank you everyone for all the kind words and prayers. I know this corner of ours means it when they say it. Lotta pain, but that's to be expected. Now lemme put a smile on your face: We've done this so many times with old shelter dogs, and the pattern is almost always the same - when they get here, they're usually nervous and quiet; unsure of what is in store and what their life is gonna be like. After being here with me, @obxdogwalker and the rest of the dogs, they start to relax and be the dog they wanna be; the dog they were or could have been before they were abandoned. Molly was so quiet and reserved when we got her, and now? Yeah. She's right at home, letting me know I need to get off my ass and feed her. Love to see it. And I'm grateful to all of you.

Good little writeup here from my wife on here blog. @maryeoz Another week of progress on Wind Star! We expect she will be splashed this week or, at the latest, next week. Less than one month until we start our life in France. This is all still very hard to believe. This week, we watched some YouTube videos about purchasing a catamaran in the current market and the important questions you should ask yourself and your spouse before making the purchase. We can’t remember all five questions, and I can’t find the specific video, but they were along the lines of: 1Financials: Can you afford about 10% of the boat’s cost annually for maintenance and upkeep? Are you prepared for marina costs (particularly for catamarans, which are 1.5–2x the cost of monohulls) and other fees if you won’t be living aboard full time? Are you prepared for insurance costs, and for your insurer dictating where you can and cannot sail around the world? Are you even able to obtain insurance? If you aren’t cut out for this lifestyle, can you afford the carrying costs while the boat is listed for sale? 2Relationships: Do both people truly want this? You don’t want your partner becoming a “galley slave” and feeling stuck in someone else’s dream. Can your relationship survive the challenges of boat life? 3Physical: Can you physically get on and off the boat? Will you be able to access engine rooms and other tight spaces? Go up the mast? Handle 2 a.m. wake-ups when dragging anchor? Weather storms and rapidly changing conditions? 4Living on Board: Have you done at least four weeks of chartering, including in bad weather, and still wanted more? Are you prepared to give up the luxuries of living on land? 5Family: Are you prepared to miss birthdays, holidays, and other family events? Can you leave your family, friends, and communities (i.e., work, church)? And if you leave but still want to attend some events, can you afford the flights and the associated marina fees while you’re away? We discussed these topics many, many times before buying the catamaran. Regarding number 1, we waited so long to buy from a reputable builder that we aren’t worried about them closing shop and losing our deposit. We also waited until we were in a strong financial position where we don’t have to work. That said, as many of you know, I have a very flexible work situation. We could come home for 3–4 months, I could take a contract, and make enough to live for the year. We constantly run the numbers on annual costs, and fortunately we don’t have any big expenses at home (like a house). This will be our home. Fortunately, we’ve done lots of chartering in all kinds of weather. We have both always loved the water—we want to be in it, on it, and near it. I can’t emphasize enough how much we truly love it. Our sailing charters confirmed that we both love to sail! We’ve wanted to do this since our very first charter in the Sea of Cortez, though Bobby has always been more vocal about his desire than I have. We’ve had many conversations over the years with people, especially since we bought the boat. Everyone likes to give advice, whether you want it or not. Some people seem eager to crush dreams because they don’t have the courage to pursue something like this themselves. But the people who know are incredibly encouraging. What interests us most are those who say, “We wish we had done that,” “Now we’re too old,” or “We’ve aged out of sailing.” This is part of our “why.” We’re still physically able, and we know we can do this for at least 10 years. After that, a Cybertruck road trip will be a lot easier when we’re older! 1/2

Cant believe I got IPO shares of $SPCX at 135, opens at 150 and runs straight up. The day options opened up, it hits highs of 225. I sell call leaps on the shares I received at 250 and 300 strike. 250 paid 82 points and 300s were 69. Unbelievable I was that conservative. Damn the fomo. Should of sold itm calls or atm there at 220 on that day. I then cleared 80% profits on those just a few weeks later. My cost basis on my 135 ipo shares after taking profits on those leaps and a few more round of weekly calls puts me down to 80. This is the game I play. I imagine in a few years, I'll make another 80 points and all those IPO shares will be completely free.

At 10:32 am EST today, Trump made a post, causing the market to dump in only 2 candles. It was very interesting that at 10:00 am, my program showed HUGE put buying right before the actual pull 🤯 And then, at 10:34, call buying started to kick in, and that was the curl for a nice uptrend for the rest of the day. $SPY
