The supposedly great Iranian military was incapable of capturing an alone pilot with rudimentary evasive and survival training for over 24 hours, just embarrassing.

@WarMonitor3 It's not a victory for US, the lost one F-15, one A10, two c130, two other helicopters and some damage to Blackhawks. Are they going to do the same each time a fighter jet is shot down? (yes it does not happen often, I know)

I’m noticing a lot of foreigners who seem to not understand why we’d risk hundreds of lives, spend millions of dollars, and sacrifice several aircraft to rescue one guy. And the reason they don’t understand is also the reason people can’t be made American by a piece of paper.

We think in this math: What if that was me alone on that shithole mountain? There is a family that is in danger of losing a father, brother, husband, and son.
To Americans, that math justifies the net loss in metal and rivets.
