Cool story bro. Enjoy paying a ridiculous amount in gas, insurance, maintance and upkeep. I’ll stay in my walkable city where I can stay healthy as fuck walking 10,000 plus steps and get to my gym, numerous restaurants, bars, theatres, music venues, etc.

I do not want a walkable city. I do not want trains. I do not want busses. I want a car that can take me anywhere I want at any time. I don't want to be dependent on transit schedules. I want to choose who I'm traveling with, rather than going for luck of the draw. I want to be able to control my own climate while traveling. I want to be guaranteed a comfortable seat. I want somewhere to keep my things during a day out instead of having to carry everything with me. I want to buy and take home loads of groceries too big to carry without having to trouble myself with delivery services. I want to go through drive thrus. I want to be halfway home from work and impulsively decide to go to a restaurant on the other side of town and just change direction immediately. I want to drive around a new city to take in more than I could on foot or on a fixed route. I want to do road trips where we make up our journey as we go. I want to explore my own city at will without any particular plan. I want to visit small towns out of reach of even the most expansive proposed public transit systems. Essentially, I want freedom.

@dannycantalk For someone who used to drive everywhere and now lives in a city and commutes by a train or bus, I feel way more free doing that than I ever did driving everywhere. More ways to get around and I’m not paying $5 plus dollars in gas plus insurance with a car.

Dude: Bezos is raising $100 billion to replace every factory and warehouse worker in America and the world with robots, not just at Amazon, everywhere. Amazon has a job turnover rate of 150% and his workers have to pee in bottles instead of bathrooms. Find a new talking point.

@SenSanders Yes, but Bezos employs over 1.5 million people at Amazon. That’s a lot of jobs he created, even after some layoffs. How many jobs have you created? For all the value Bezos has provided his customers and employees, he deserves a yacht. What value have you provided to anyone?

Chicago… this just happened on our North Side,
at Swedish Hospital.
Two police officers shot… at a hospital.
A place where people go for help,
turned into a crime scene.
And recently,
a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the neck
while walking near Grant Park in downtown Chicago.
This is NOT normal.
This is what happens when leadership fails,
but tries to gaslight you with fake crime stats.
People can’t even walk safely.
Hospitals aren’t even safe.
Chicago, we have a serious problem.
As your future mayor, I will restore order,
back our police, be tough on crime,
and make Chicago safe again, just as I’ve always advocated for the safety of Chicago citizens.
Pray for those officers’ families
and for that young man.
And Chicago… it’s time to wake up.
