@GuyNoWifi06 @sne3ze2 The mobs they were planning to add wont change the way armor works in minecraft or how easy the game is it more so offers more variance to exploration which is more for sightseers which is still nice and i fo hope they end up doing it later

@Zam_Z2 @sne3ze2 you say that but A LOT of people have also said they wanted all the mobs from the previous mob vote which mojang have constantly showed 0 interest in doing so, builders have more than enough blocks to build but survivalist can wear a trash bag and be protected for the whole game

@wrenfps @sne3ze2 Minecraft has always been about rewarding the player for making the optional choices and if you dont want to it also want punish you for doing so Terraria atleast as i've found has always been about progression not exactly linear theres offshoots here and there but progression

@Zam_Z2 @sne3ze2 they're not that different what? a good looking house you build randomly has no purpose till you decide to move one of your npcs into it it's just that terraria has clearer goals that actually reward you rather than minecraft which make minecraft feel more boring

@wrenfps @sne3ze2 Minecraft rewards you for going out of your way to explore early if you spend all your time progressing the "normal way" you'll obviously get stuff as natural but if you try to find structures like the deep dark or trial chambers you can get cool gear and items early on ingame

@wrenfps @sne3ze2 Terrarias goals are not clearer it just has a stricter line of what you "supposed" to do minecraft lets you fight the dragon completely naked with your fist if you really want to hell you dont need to enter the nether on rare occasion to fight it

@wrenfps @sne3ze2 Terraria is more progression focused then minecraft its less of sandbox rpg and more of an rpg sandbox it settles all in on bosses weapons armor etc and focuses way less on things like base building, farming, sight seeing, etc

@Zam_Z2 @sne3ze2 Not everyone plays to build tho yeah it’s a major aspect of the game but they need to add some sort of RPG aspect to the it that doesn’t involve building like a boss that’s actually difficult and drops loot, imagine a server grinding the ender dragon for full dragon armour

@wrenfps @sne3ze2 Terraria and minecraft are drastically different games and theres no point in comparing them minecrafts entire thing is that everything you do is "pointless" unless you give it a point you can beat the game in 10 minutes if thats the meaning you wanna give the game you paid for
