@poncle_vampire I will be patient. After all, you are giving us a new game to enjoy in the meantime. But I wonder if the image is also a subtle hint at a new character. 😏
@poncle_vampire Looking forward to when this update comes out officially (I play on console). 😁
Also, has Poncle considered doing a crossover/dlc with the people who made the Bloodstained games?

@poncle_vampire Love this tune!
This actually made me wonder: will the music of VC be available for VS, at some point? Would love to have this tune in VS.
there's so much to do in Vampire Crawlers 🦇
but we can only show you this little snippet... for now 🧛
can you spot anything familiar from the Vampire Survivors world?
@poncle_vampire I’ve not played a game like VC (Vampire Crawlers) before, but with how fun VS is, I’m gonna check it out. (I wish listed it when it was announced on Xbox. 😁)
Looking forward to VC and what y’all do next in VS. Thank you so much for making such fun games!
@verytragic@Remnant_Game@gunfire_games I love what y’all did with the archetypes.
Even came up with some archetype ideas of my own: Grenadier, Solarian, and Artificer.
Speaking of Archetypes, early on (pre-production, perhaps even before we finished R1 actually), we were thinking of expanding them to feel more like actual classes with unique behaviors. In Remnant: From the Ashes, we had Hunter, Scrapper, and Ex-Cultist... but they were just your starting gear. In Remnant 2, we wanted to expand that concept and make them very unique with their own custom Skills and perks.
However, we also wanted to make sure players could switch their "class" like they could switch gear, because Remnant progression is about having a set of tools that you can mix and match to boost your chance of success. Though, admittedly, at one point we talked about locking your class for that character, but we never ended up doing it.
Once we had our first class up and running, we contemplated ideas on how to really take the system to the next level. Since a lot of us are massive fans of games with either dual or freeform classes like Grim Dawn, Guild Wars (1), Divinity: Original Sin II, Final Fantasy Tactics, and/or games where you have an even crazier amount of freedom like Path of Exile... so we decided to try out our version of it.
As mentioned, we wanted the Archetypes to feel like a "tool" in a way. Something you could equip to change your kit for the many different obstacles ahead. Turned out to be quite a hit, and players have seemed to enjoy it as well.
Of course, it didn't come without challenges. Anyone playing since launch knows we've rebalanced many elements of basically every Archetype. Making a combat-heavy game focused primarily around guns set the stage for the now-classic HUGS build (Hunter Gunslinger) - two Archetypes that went together like peanut butter and rocket launchers. As the game got more challenging, players that pushed the game and archetypes to their limits found potential areas that needed to be addressed.
Talking with our community, reading comments and suggestions on social media, and of course playing even more hours ourselves helped us dial in the pros and cons. We know there's never going to be perfect balance, but "more balanced" was always the desired outcome, and for the majority of players, we feel their toolbox has become pretty large!

@librafail1702@poncle_vampire@SaGaGame I would LOVE to get more than FF7! But I feel a single map for all, or just a few, FF games would be a big disservice to those games; since each is a standalone game with its own unique world and locations. It works for Castlevania but not FF, imo.
@ZaneusN@poncle_vampire@SaGaGame You want ONLY FFVII?!?! You do know there are 16 mainline games, right? They can make something similar to Ode to Castlevania and make a new map for it
how did Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama come to be?
well we have creator of Vampire Survivors, Luca Galante, here to tell the tale 🧛
