The day I formed this thought about Wolfe is the day he tweeted or affirmatively quote tweeted a statement ascribing America’s success to an Anglo Protestant work ethic. That statement is racist to the core. And Wolfe defended it, vehemently. No one worked harder than the enslaved and thousands of other minority workers in America’s history. Therefore, I did not, and still don’t question the accuracy and legitimacy of the original tweet regarding Wolfe. Again, the only question that remains for me is, why does Willy Rice so positively and affirmatively interact with Wolfe. The Rice/Wolfe SBC fabric and makeup, especially objecting to Greear’s vision for inclusion and empowerment is again racist to the core from my vantage point. They would be very comfortable with All Whites as entity heads, as is currently the case in the SBC.
