Kendrick is an artist that thrives on moments and not sustained periods of dominance. He can cause controversy and ride off of it's hype for awhile but once that's done he strategically goes back into hiding so that folks don't notice his numbers dropping significantly. His 2024-25 run was as long as it was cause he kept on hammering on what got him popping to begin with....drake. the pop out, the album, Superbowl, grammies and the tour he made sure his fans had the battle on their mind. As soon as the buzz was gone so was he. Now everytime his fans see drake doing anything their first thought is "what if Kendrick dissed drake again?". Kendrick can never be super hot without attaching himself to some sort of controversy.
