@IrishRail any idea what is going on with the 10:50 train from Dublin to Belfast? We left 20 mins late and are now crawling at a glacial pace to Drogheda. No communication or updates from anyone onboard.

A big complaint about the Dún Laoghaire baths redevelopment (other than there being no actual baths!) is that it looks a bit ugly and brutalist or concrete heavy. This is why! I think it’s a brilliant redevelopment. And the statue of Casement is top notch.

@DannPetty How are they dead? There still needs to be a consistent language across atoms, molecules and components. More than ever understanding this is so important as AI spits out any jumble of elements.

Since “design systems are dead”, can we go back to calling them style guides?

@DaraghCassidy @DubCityCouncil Is there not some sort of legislation as to what is and is not allowed? Some shopfronts in DL need to come down. Thinking of writing to the council about it.

Grafton Street says goodbye to Burger King (and then Abrakebabra) and hello to KFC! Nice shopfront in fairness. Not sure why any business, fast food or otherwise, doesn’t want to look well. Really wish @DubCityCouncil would enforce better shopfront standards across the city.

@johnlync True. I've seen case numbers used as a means of documenting. That way staff internally can see who you last spoke to, without having to share their full name.

@johnlync There is a heightened awareness of targeted abuse, especially in public service jobs these days. Workers are nervous to share their identity, whether they are allowed to or not.

People are going to start aggressively revoking access to their attention. Ping minimalism is coming.

This is incredibly dangerous. It lays the path for centralized, device-level client side scanning. From detecting 'scams' it's a short step to "detecting patterns commonly associated w/ seeking reproductive care" or "commonly associated w/ providing LGBTQ resources" or "commonly associated with tech worker whistleblowing."
