don't be a farmer🚜, be a contributor Disclaimer: I mean this with the utmost respect, and I only want to help you. ▶︎ learn a skill, and use it to provide value. no serious project that knows what they're doing will give you something for nothing. those days are over. ▶︎ don't try to be part of every project; choose one or two, maybe three tops, that you find interesting and dedicate ~10 hours a week min to them consistently. you'll get noticed, which can land you a role or a rewarding OG spot. ▶︎ in my 8 years leading communities (hiring hundreds, managing 25+ people), I prioritize a good attitude (character), enthusiasm, consistency, reliability, and a willingness to learn. ▶︎ be proactive, become a serious community member, adopt the project identity, and help ideate the lore with the rest of the community. ▶︎ read the technical docs. use AI to help you understand what the project is building; even the most technical projects can be simplified with AI. if, after reading, you have zero conviction, don't waste your time and move on to the next one. it's way easier to provide value when you like the project. ▶︎ (do not skip this) Please do your very best to learn how to communicate and write well. practice daily. This can all be self-taught, and there are tons of resources online. Having this skill alone can do wonders for you in crypto. ▶︎ engage consistently. Being a reply guy works, and it's a great practice for improving your writing. ▶︎ be yourself. if you have something of value to share, do so. avoid using AI to create content for you (it's okay for fixing grammar), but don't use it to generate your posts. that's super cringe and obvious in most cases. if you're interesting person, with good humor, treat your feed like a journal, it may resonate with people. ▶︎ Lastly, fix your profile on x. Make sure you're blue-checked, refine your bio, have a simple but clean display name. Less is more: short, sweet, and to the point. hope this helps some of you.
