Big news from Tanzania! We’ve signed a new contract with IGUWASA, expanding eWATER’s services in and around Igunga Town.  With 715 smart taps across 81 villages, Tanzania is our largest country system 🔥

eWATER held a public participation forum in Kajire with the County Government of Taita Taveta. Over 150 residents engaged with our smart tap model and voted in favour of service expansion to the locality. We’re proud to move toward supplying clean water to 3700+ residents 💧

In December, we were fortunate to be supported for a day by Newton Impact’s brilliant digital consultants during a hackathon in London.  Together, we analysed data from 1,191 smart taps serving 315K people and built practical tools to improve how we plan, & manage water systems.

Our Tanzania team 🇹🇿 has completed installations of a further 35 Smart Taps in Singida, giving 4,000 people 24/7 access to affordable water.  We’re excited to continue working with @Suwasa_Singida as we assess new sites for expansion 💧 @RSKGroup @BWTUKLtd

We’ve launched new eWATER systems in Karandi & Mutanga 🇰🇪 registering 10,000+ new customers. This twin system is an engineering feat - with 60KM of pipe delivering clean, safe water everyday💧Thank you to Governor Irungu, and the County of Laikipia for making this work possible!

In Ol Moran, Kenya 🇰🇪 30+ eWATER taps mean reliable clean water daily. 💧 For Mama Kariuki, that reliability sparked a business: she delivers up to 100 jerricans a day to hotels & homes, earning 3x her old income. Reliable water fuels livelihoods. 🚲✨ #WaterForAll

We’re expanding in Tabora, Tanzania 🇹🇿 where 83 eWATER smart taps will be installed by mid September. Here, Hussein Ally, eWATER’s Maintenance & Customer Engagement Lead, leads a community session with residents showcasing how to use our tag to fetch water. 💧

Last week, over 100 residents joined our public participation forum in Mahianyu, Laikipia. An overwhelming majority voted for eWATER to expand its water delivery into the region 🎉 We are proud of this, and remain committed to service delivery across Kenya 🇰🇪💧

Last Wednesday, eWATER in partnership with the County Government of Laikipia hosted a tap commissioning event in Kiamariga, Salama Ward.  The commissioning was officiated by His Excellency, Governor Joshua Irungu, EGH, and was well attended by community residents & leaders

In Tabora, Tanzania, we're expanding our Smart Tap network with TUWASA: rehabilitating kiosks and installing new taps to bring 24/7 water access closer to home. These photos show key steps in the process.
