"Filo" is an interesting example of how dimunitive patterns differ by language. "Pinoy" takes from the stressed or end part of Pilipino and adds a -y. Like many nicknames, Benigno became Ninoy. Tatoy's in Iloilo is names after Honorato. "Filo" follows English nickname patterns.

This is wrong and you know it. Leody and walden didnt denounce armed struggle in favor of electoralism on tv, they got people to think about why there even is one and why its root causes arent being addressed. They brought anticapitalism and anti-imperialism to mainstream

These communist parties didn't just make "mistakes." They failed to permanently smash the bureaucratic capitalist state for DOTP. They failed to abolish classes. And they end up reproducing capitalist social relations in the form of state capitalism.
