@UglyByProxy I've been dealing with chronic styes for over a year now, had surgery in June and am waiting on a second. The only answer, and this comes from my surgeon, is heat. Lots of heat, multiple times a day. As much as possible. Hot rags, heating bags, whatever. Hope this helps, man.

So uhh... my stye got bad. Woke up today with it crusted shut and super swollen. Can't really work with one eye so if you're waiting on anything from me, give me a day or two until this shit goes away. If you have any tips for faster healing, please let me know.

Once again thinking about Whalefall by @DanielDKraus. I always thought it hyperbole when folks said a book changed their life, until Whalefall. I've never been the same. I left a piece of myself behind on the first page and forged new ones by the last. Sleeper, arise!

I don’t use this word often, but The Fisherman is a masterpiece. It reads like a work of American mythology that should have always been with us — but has only now risen from the dark waters of Dutchman’s Creek. What an achievement. Truly. Read this novel.

@HorrorDNA It's rough dude. Last week, I went 36 hours with no sleep, had a quick power nap, and headed out for a 12 hour backshift. I have so many projects left hanging right now and I hate it.

@abucketofworms Hell. My "new" job is a year old and it's still kicking my ass. I'm feeling you.

Haven't been able to write in a while. Sorry to everyone I owe projects too - new job has me working shift work and is kicking my ass, on top of having a newborn at home. I'm hoping to get back into it soon, but ugh. I hate letting people down.
