Newark and Sherwood District Council is proposing a £5.5m investment to construct a brand-new swimming facility in Southwell. A report will be presented to its Cabinet on Tuesday 19 December which will seek approval to build a brand-new main pool, learner pool,

Update for our Southwell Leisure Centre customers..

All other facilities at the leisure centre, including the learner pool, will remain open as usual. Customers of Southwell Leisure Centre will receive further and more detailed information on how this will affect them via email.

Following extensive investigations to the current main pool, we are sadly only just now able to conclude that repairing and fixing the main pool is not a viable option and therefore it will have to remain closed.
