Dustin Bartlett, 41, is accused of possessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Bartlett has been placed on administrative leave pending both criminal and internal investigations. He made his first court appearance this week and remains in custody. This case is especially disturbing because the material was found by his own girlfriend, hidden behind the very vest he wore while serving as a police officer. Once again, someone in a position of public trust is accused of exploiting children while hiding in plain sight.
