Patrick Radden Keefe's "Say Nothing" is the best book on the Troubles I have read. It demonstrates that even though a cause may be just, the method can destroy the righteous and attract the bloodthirsty.

A funny quirk of financial journalism is the use of `snap up' as a synonym for `buy.' Investors in stories are always `snapping up' stocks or bonds or ETFs. But I don't think I've ever heard that in real life, like `I'm going to the store. Need me to snap up anything for you?'
