The Yoruba community leader in Ojoo, Folagbade Azeez, has issued a stern 7-day ultimatum to Hausa settlers in the area, demanding they leave immediately.
"We do not want those boys there again. We do not feel safe as the place has become dangerous. They have been given 7 days to leave. We want peace not problems," Azeez declared.

The mainstream use i believe is a Yoruba term from “O ti Ya”, perhaps there is also “Oya” in Igbo?

"Oya" is not an Igbo word.
It's a Yorùbá word adopted by the whole Nigeria. It is short of "O ti yà" that was shortened to "Oya" and it means "It's time". It does not mean "Come here". "Come here in Yorùbá is Wá ń bi"
It is 💯 Yorùbá word.
