Those conferences don't get many chances to be widely viewed on TV outside of conference tourneys IMO this is a side effect from D1 just having too many teams (365 teams this year)

I see Belmont's loss has sparked some ire, which means it's time for my annual proposal to mid-majors: If the #1 seed wins the conference tournament, it gets the league's auto bid. If anyone else wins, that teams plays a home game against the #1 seed to determine the auto.

@bbritt237 how is that a loophole? Defenders not being able to cross the plane of the baseline doesn't mean they can't defend the play. If an offensive player does catch it like that, the defender is sitting right next to him and can try to steal or foul. This isn't an exploit or something

@alan_daniel Offense can reach over the baseline to catch the ball but defense cannot. Defense is not allowed to defend the play. It’s always been the rule, but have never seen a team exploit it. I bet we’ll see it again soon. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

New strategy! Up 1 with 1.9 left. CC inbounds ball. Their player stood just inbounds with his arms extended over baseline. Made pass to him and defender reached over line to deflect ball. Delay of game. CCdid same thing and UNCW alllowed pass-had to foul. A loophole in rules!!
