@HendrickD82 I think we were semi competent for 30 minutes then city made some slight adjustments and easily started beating our OOP structure. They upped tempo and were cooked the rest of the match. City never REALLY looked that challenged defensively.

We weren't the better team for 35 minutes.
We had a couple of chances, they had control and were pissing through our midfield from the off.

@HendrickD82 I think just one imposing physical midfielder with some attitude goes a long way. Having a dribbly 6 who cannot pass and lost any progress in his defensive approach this season hurts in and out of possession. He can rotate 8/10 instead

There's a strong argument that Liverpool's recent improvement in defending set-pieces owes a lot to variance and luck evening out. But you can't say the same for attacking them - they have been infinitely better in terms of approach and outcomes since the turn of the year.
