@guituary @rawmilkhoney Can you read? Because of what I said. Lots of unpaid work expected. It's not an hourly job. Sometimes you're working 80 hours a week. You also are stuck at that income for your whole career while others can move up easily and change jobs when needed.

Teachers make more than enough money idk where this myth comes from that teachers are so underpaid and honestly for the shitty work they do these days is even say they’re overpaid

I don’t care if your husband provides enough and you don’t want to work. Being a SAHM mom while all of your kids are in daycare/public schooling is lazy parenting. It’s very telling of how selfish you are as a mother, especially considering the climate of the country right now.

@eriatarrka @coleslawless @PathofLight777 If your 3 year old doesn't have enough structure and interactions with others, you aren't doing your job. Weekly playgroups, circle time at the local library, music classes, playgrounds... there are so many better options than daycare. You're just lazy.

@coleslawless @PathofLight777 I cared about my 3 year old so I put him in part time daycare. He needed structure outside of family life and to be surrounded with friends to get ready for school. If I didn’t care about him I would have hand waved that away and just sent him to school with no experience.

On a positive note from last night. Kid Rock's performance last night was more than just music. It was a message. He opened with Bawitdaba. Raw. Wild. A reminder of where he came from. Then he shifted into something completely different with Til You Can't. A man who's lived, grown, and found something deeper. That transition hit me. I've been both versions of myself too. The wild one making choices I'm not proud of. And the one standing on the other side, grateful for growth and a second chance. We all have a past. But that doesn't mean that's where our story ends. You can honor where you came from and still become someone new. Growth doesn't erase your journey. It gives it meaning. Did his performance hit you the same way?

@AimsatJoy @thecavemommy A pediatrician is literally the baby's doctor. Mom should be talking to a lactation consultant, a postpartum doula or her own OB/GYN about sleep deprivation since it's their job to care for mom.

@thecavemommy It makes mom’s care of baby the issue…. instead of care of mom. Imagine if doctors orders prescribed mom gets a break/help.

My mom friend said her pediatrician told her to cosleep because her 3 month old who was under weight and failing to thrive, she was juggling 21 month old twins already. Told her to just have baby sleep with her and let him latch whenever he wants overnight so he can eat more There really needs to be a conversation when sleep deprived moms suffering from PPD/PPA bc they’re so sleep deprived complain to the pediatrician that the baby doesn’t sleep and they hear some bullshit answer like “well this will pass they’ll sleep more soon” or “make sure the babies sleeping in a crib on their back!” why not pick and chose patients who AREN’T overweight and AREN’T doped up on SSRI’s and have the conversation with them about co-sleeping safely? At that point a patient can be begging for an answer and wouldn’t we rather they do it safely than risk an accident because they didn’t know how to safely co sleep or an accident happened ? Pediatricians are mostly evil, and see your baby for like 5 minutes once a month, inject a bunch of shots into them and then say “well see ya next time” and don’t actually know what’s best for ur baby

my mom and MIL took care of the baby this morning while we slept and they told me they almost gave him water when they ran out of milk. i gently told them to just wake me up next time and also that recommendations about this have changed in the last 30 years but also OH MY GOD.
