You can now archive your chats in ChatGPT! Archive removes chats from your sidebar without deleting them. You can see your archived chats in Settings. Currently available on Web and iOS with Android coming soon.

@steren @Waymo It replaced all of my Lyfts/Ubers, and some of my public transit. I don't use it for commute, that's still MUNI. I also just took a lot more trips overall because I didn't have a car and waymo was free until recently and is fun to ride in 🙂

@aomarks @Waymo impressive. Is it your main city mode of transportation? Do you use Waymo for your commute?

In 2023 I took 188 trips, traveled 667 miles, and spent 48 hours in a @Waymo.

@vsbuffalo Wouldn't it be good if the notebook tracked whenever there was non-linear execution (top to bottom, one execution each) and flag that somehow (like a visual marker in the gutter)?

Number one easy tip I can give people to make computational work more robust is regularly and often restart your notebooks and re-run everything. It’s all too easy to accidentally store some state and build off it. I think every “finished” notebook must be run fresh from start.

I dewrote turborepo in JS. It's... a lot faster. 150ms vs 550ms to 'not' run tldraw's test suite

@absentmindedbi Yep, it's very similar to docker compose in terms of being able to declare a dependency graph of services that boot up in a certain order, but no containers, as you say.

@TheLarkInn Bazel/Blaze was the main inspiration. It's fantastic, but migrating from npm is a big commitment and pretty complex. So Wireit instead adds many of its features directly to npm scripts. I am interested in adding Bazel Persistent Worker protocol support to Wireit!

@aomarks Was the reasoning behind the creation of this to integrate more seemlessly into Blaze and other orchestration tools? It looks really awesome! Looking forward to learn from it.

@aomarks Wow this looks cool! Does wireit noOp on tests that don’t been to be rerun b/c the underlying src files haven’t changed?

🧵3/3 The new Wireit "cascade" setting gives you more control over when scripts rerun/restart. Wireit errs towards rerunning whenever a dependency changes. But this isn't always optimal, e.g. if only a subset of output is used, or if new assets don't require a server restart.

🧵2/3 The new Wireit "service" setting lets you orchestrate servers and other long-running processes. When used as a dependency, services start up and shut down as needed — like a server during an e2e test. When run directly, services keep running across watch mode iterations.

@BenDelarre @buildWithLit We're using Wireit (github.com/google/wireit) to orchestrate exactly this setup. Instant JS emit with esbuild, async type checking with tsc. It's great. Example config: github.com/webcomponents/…

@buildWithLit This is the way. Esbuild for ts strip and tsc for check is love. But yes we need a good task runner for this.
