🚨 CRITICAL: Security scanner 'Trivy' has been compromised by threat actors who influenced the GitHub build process and pushed a malicious update that installs infostealer malware dubbed "TeamPCP Cloud stealer." They created a lookalike domain (scan.aquasecurtiy[.]org) and pulled 4 malicious Golang files from it into the build process. What it steals: ▪️ SSH keys ▪️ Cloud credentials (AWS, GCP, Azure) ▪️ Kubernetes tokens ▪️ Crypto wallets ▪️ Environment variables ▪️ 50+ sensitive file paths scanned

It's great to see the constant evolution in the #Kubernetes ecosystem with 3 releases every year but it's hard to keep up some of the time. Kubernetes v1.36 is the next in line and is shaping up to be a quietly significant release. 1.36 includes HPA scaling to zero enabled by default, ephemeral tokens for image pulls, and the deprecation of IPVS mode in kube-proxy. These approaches point to a platform steadily maturing rather than chasing flashy new features. The retirement of Ingress NGINX and the push toward #GatewayAPI stand out to me. It signals the seriousness about cleaning up long-standing technical debt, even when it means sunsetting tools that many of us learned Kubernetes with in the first place.
