Kumar pal was ardent Shaivite. He did last grand renovation of Somnath temple. Reason for sudden increase in Jaina influence in his reign was the Political intrigue of Jain nobles who made him king in first place. But even prominent Jainacharya like Hemachandracharya was forced to bow at Somnath and sing stuti in praise of Mahadev.

Punyashali Pranam - With due respect, the issue here is not about intention but about historical method and evidentiary standards. First, the 12-year famine and migration under Bhadrabahu Swami is indeed mentioned in later traditions, but it is important to note that these accounts are not contemporaneous records. They appear in texts written centuries after the supposed events, and therefore are treated by historians as traditional narratives, not independently verifiable historical facts. There is no direct inscriptional or archaeological evidence (including ASI findings) that conclusively establishes a mass Digambara migration or sectarian split at that time. Second, the claim that sectarian divergence was fixed during the Mauryan period is not supported by early material evidence. The earliest archaeological and inscriptional data (Mathura, 1st century BCE–1st century CE) shows clothed or partially clothed ascetics, not institutionalised nudity. This suggests that clear sectarian identities had not yet crystallised, and that early Jainism was still non-sectarian or fluid in practice. Third, regarding Acharya Devasena Swami and Ratnanandi Swami, both are very late sources (c. 10th century CE and later). Using them to establish events in the 4th–3rd century BCE creates a chronological gap of over a millennium. In historiography, such late texts cannot override earlier evidence (inscriptions, contemporaneous references, archaeology). Whether they refer to one person or two does not resolve the core issue — they are retrospective reconstructions, not primary evidence. Fourth, the Śvetāmbara position does not depend on denying Digambara tradition, but on positive continuity: • preservation of Agamas through oral lineage, later codified at Vallabhi • Sthaviravali traditions showing teacher succession • and early external references (Buddhist texts) that describe Jain ascetics without making nudity a defining feature Fifth, claims of large-scale persecution, forced conversion, or destruction of all earlier evidence are not corroborated across independent sources — not in Jain, Buddhist, Brahmanical, Greek, or archaeological records. In history, absence across multiple traditions cannot be explained solely by assumed destruction. Conclusion: The question is not whose narrative exists, but which claims are supported by earliest available evidence. That evidence consistently shows: • early Jainism was non-sectarian • clothed asceticism is historically visible first • and clear Digambara-Śvetāmbara distinctions emerge gradually in later centuries Respectfully, tradition deserves reverence — but historical conclusions must rest on verifiable evidence, chronology, and cross-corroboration, not solely on later textual assertions.

Surprisingly, Jain idols (1128-1285 CE) were found at the Buddhist site ⚡ In 2006, bronze artifacts from the Jain tradition were uncovered at the Buddhist site of Ken-Bulun in the Chuy Valley of Kyrgyzstan, dating back to approximately 1128-1285 CE. The items were uncovered within clay that had been used for construction. @arpitsinger @lvjstsorg

The Kewalgyan bhumi of Bhagwan Mahaveer 🪐 The Nandprabha Temple, situated near the holy Rujuvalika river, stands as a profound symbol of Jain heritage and devotion, where Lord Mahavirswami attained Kevalgyan (omniscience). 🥹🙏🏻 Credit : @arpitsinger 📷 In December 2023, the temple hosted the momentous Anjanshalaka Pratishtha Mahotsav conducted under the auspicious guidance of Param Pujya Acharya Shri Muktiprabhsurishwaji Maharaja, with the divine presence of over 100 sadhu and sadhviji bhagwants. Note - Visitors are reminded that this is a place of worship, not a tourist destination, and are requested to maintain the strict religious sanctity of the temple during their visit.

The Jaina Inscription in the Hindu Temple of Himachal Pradesh proves that it was originally Jain Temple having idol of Lord Mahavira consecrated by Shwetambar Jain Acharya Devabhadra suriji of Khartar Gachha.

Baijanatha Temple — a Jain shrine converted into a Shiva temple. The inscription is in the same temple. As I've said many times, all pre-11th–12th century Shiva temples were originally either Jain or Buddhist. Pandits: No, The inscription was just "brought here" — as always.

It is child's play for them to Polish the Pedestal of Pratima. (Then as per convenience put in the details suiting them.) Just like this, Kachota of several Shwetambar Pratima ji's have been polished off. PS: The pic is of a 52 year old idol whose pedestal was polished off.
