The convo went like this Sachin:Hi I am Sachin Tendulkar,do you play cricket Me(imagining why did he introduce himself): Sir I did but never followed it as a career because my Dad told me not everyone can become Sachin. Me: Sir you didn't had a very strong financial background as such so didn’t you feel....pursuing a dream such as this is very risky,what if you didnt get in top 11. Sachin: The only intention I had was to become better everyday,just better than thechin of the previous day.The dream to wear the Indian jersey was too big to think about risks. Just focus on your goal and strike at it regularly with greater zeal,even failure will be scared to come on your way because it will know your dreams are too strong for it to affect you” The conversation went for about half an hour.While leaving he came to meet .. my grandpa outside who suffers from knee problem and a great Sachin fan.Sachin TOUCHED HIS FEET and asked for his blessings.I was stunned seeing such humility.The way he talked to the security guards also awestruck me....

सचिन के नाम एक कविता @sachin_rt वो स्टैट्स के पहाड़े तुमको पढ़ाते रहेंगे, तुम अखाड़े में बस डटे रहना। कितनी मैचें हारी हमने, कितनी उसने हरवाई हैं, कितनों को जितवाया उसने, कीचड़ “स्वार्थीपन” वाली वो उछालेंगे। तुम कीचड़ में कमल खिलाते रहना।। वो कहेंगे टूट गई थी दीवार तुम्हारी, बस एक मैग्राथ के आ जाने से। 2003 व 2007 के दर्शन तुमको करवाएंगे। तुम उस पल बस यूँ ही बात उठाना, शारजाह का तूफान दिखाना। तुम समय का पहिया दौड़ा कर, दक्षिण में चेन्नई ले आना, मुंबई की रोती तस्वीर के बाद की भारत की पहली मुस्कान दिखाना। फिर तुम उनको सिडनी ले आना, फिर कवर में खड़े होकर, बिना कवर के 241 ताने सुनाना। वो घोल-घोल कर कड़वाहट कड़वी एक जाम बनाएंगे, वो दर्पण उठाकर फिर उसका कुचरित्र दिखाएंगे, वो हिमालय की चोटी को एक कंकड़ से नीचा बताएंगे। वो स्वार्थ हित के लिए तो बस आता था, केवल ढेले के मूल्य के वो रन बनाता था। हाँ, माना बनाए हजारों रन उस 5 फुटिए ने, पर कौन सा भारत उससे जीत जाता था। भगवान ही जाने क्यों वो क्रिकेट का भगवान कहलाता था।” तुम सुनना उनकी बात हरेक गौर से, फिर जाम का वो गिलास उठाना। फिर उसी गिलास में चाशनी भरकर मिठास मिलाना। कड़वी जाम के बदले मीठा शरबत तुम पिलाना। “कह तुम ठीक रहे, भारत उसके शतकों के बाद भी हारी है। 25 दफ़ा आँख भरी और झोली खाली लौट आई है। पर एक बार कहा था किसी हर्षा ने बड़े हर्ष से, जब तक सचिन क्रीज़ पर होता है, भारत बड़े चैन से सोता है। ये बात बताकर ये नहीं जतला रहा कि टीस मुझे नहीं होती है। पर जब आँख गीली और दिल ये रोता है, मन से मेरी आत्मा फिर पूछ लेती है – क्या आरोप लगाना सही है, जो छलनी होकर भी लड़ रहा, क्या उसी को दोषी ठहराना सही है? मन व्याकुल होकर कहे फिर हाँ, लोग बहुत गलत बताते हैं, तुम 25 का शोक मनाओ, हम 75 का हर्ष मनाएंगे। आओ, बैठो पास – तुमको हम ये बात-बात बतलाएँ, तुम पूछते हो ना क्यों वो क्रिकेट के भगवान कहलाए। समय रुक सा जाता था, बस एक भीड़ कहीं दौड़ती थी। पनवाड़ी की दुकानों में पान दो ज़्यादा बिक जाते थे, मिठाई की दुकानों में घी कुछ ज़्यादा आता था। बॉस का गुस्सा भी कुछ सुस्ता लेता था, हिंदू-मुस्लिम आपसी सारे द्वेष मिट जाते थे। पापा MRF वाला बैट जब दिलवाते थे, तब दिवाली पर चार दिए, बैसाखी की कुछ फसलें, और रमज़ान के रोज़े – कहीं एक मोमबत्ती जल उठती थी सचिन के नाम होकर। यही ताना-बाना हर चौथे रोज़ आता था, देश में मानो मेला लग जाता था। एक रोज़ पनवाड़ी के आगे जमघट फिर लगा था, फिर सवाल वही पुराना उठा था – “भैया, सचिन ने कितने किए?” 103 पर खेल रहा है वाला जवाब सुनकर वो सातों भाँवर वहीं झूम गया, पास खड़े चाचा के माथे को चूम गया। उसकी आँखों में खुशी और ही आती थी, मानो सारी तकलीफ़ें छू हो जाती थीं। गणित वाले मास्टरजी भी थोड़ा पिघल जाते थे, होमवर्क नहीं करने पर मुर्गा नहीं बनाते थे। आज बच्चों की भी गुत्थी सुलझ जाती थी, मीन, मीडियन, मोड वाली सारी बात समझ आती थी। 5 नंबर लाने वाला गोलू भी आज बात समझ जाता था, सचिन के एवरेज बड़े सटीक बताता था। फिर एक अंतिम बार पनवाड़ी के यहाँ भीड़ लगी, वक्त कभी न थमने को कहकर एक बार थमने लगी। फिर वही सवाल दोबारा आया – सचिन ने कितना बनाया? 74। उस सवाल पर भी एक विराम लग गया, शायद उसी पल वो रब बन गया। वो कह – “24 years between, 22 yards” विदा हो रहे थे, भगवान भक्त से जुदा हो रहे थे। आज ना कोई झूमता, ना कोई किसी को चूमता था, बस ताकते एक-दूजे को आँखें भीगी थीं। वो वक्त वहीं रुक गया था, शायद वक्त का भी मन टूट गया था। कहने को वैसे मैं सौ किताबें और कह दूँ, पर एक सवाल पर मैं अब रुकूँगा। सचिन के बाद भी होगा क्रिकेट क्या? ये लोग पूछते हैं। शायद लोग इसी लिए इंसान को भगवान बोल पूजते थे।” हो सकता है सब सुनकर भी वो बात न माने, वो शायद वही राग वापस दोहराएंगे। वो 5 नाम लेकर सचिन से बेहतर बतलाते रहेंगे, पर तुम – “सचिन सबका बाप है” पर अड़े रहना।
