Codex roasting LoftwahFM Your project is basically this: a Suno-driven music publishing system with a real player/catalogue core, plus a private client-delivery layer, plus analytics, plus admin/auth, plus a waitlist/sales funnel, plus an internal “workspace/team OS” experiment all sharing one codebase on Astro + Cloudflare Workers + R2. The music pipeline itself is coherent. The product boundary is not. Roast - This repo has startup identity disorder. It wants to be a radio station, artist site, client portal, analytics dashboard, internal hackathon tool, and agent operating system at the same time. - package.json still says “Astro Framework Starter” while the repo has 129 files under src/pages and 73 API routes. That’s not a starter. That’s a small municipality. - SALES_CLOSED = true hardcoded in pricing/business/checkout/subscribe is very funny. You built the checkout flow, lit the shop window, then welded the door shut. - There are 18 files with ts-nocheck. TypeScript is in the building, but mostly as moral support. - The /workspace product exists, has pages and APIs, and then middleware just 404s it in production. That’s not product strategy, that’s witness protection. - Some of the code feels like “future Dean will definitely need this”, which is how repos become museums of plausible next moves. - Per-album auth in content YAML is powerful, but also has strong “CMS meets escape room” energy. - The strongest thing in the repo is the actual media/catalogue/player pipeline. The weakest thing is deciding what the site is for on purpose. - The good news is the core is real. This is not fake-product fluff. The bad news is you’ve got at least three products competing for the homepage.

@specialkdelslay People don't get cancer until they go to the doctor. Call me a fucking idiot, idc. Perfectly healthy people walk in those doors and die months later from death. I watched my mom go from fine to suddenly needing a ventilator to dead in 4 months because she needed allergy meds.

What are you favourite skills to use with agents? Are there any that will improve code quality and de-slopify things? I want to make sure each function is in its own file and that the concerns are separated properly. No duplicate helper functions etc.

@CRyanMauk Chasing has hit critical mass. Our hobby will never be what it was again. If we don’t want to deal with traffic/convergence, we’re all gonna have to completely rethink how we approach chasing.

@asyncawaited That was quite the time. I don’t even know if that form is still around, but after enough times being moderated and discouraged on that from a lot of people, I just said the hell with it.

I specifically remember during Covid some vets were saying they’d report out of state chasers who should have been quarantining while they themselves were seen in the ditch in the next state fishing for hail. There’s a fine line between gatekeeping and genuine concern. So many thoughts…I feel like the older I get in this hobby I gain some perspective. I totally remember being discouraged and told to go away on Stormtrack like 15 years ago, and even being moderated & banned from asking questions on discussions on there. Fast forward and It’s so big now. It will keep getting bigger. And with that there will be inevitabilities. So many good points out there, and some bad. I guess I really don’t have a very strong opinion either way aside from just in general don’t be a dick and have regard for others. However… I think it is patently ridiculous that nobody has taken upon themselves to provide a barbecue truck out there. Get it together.
