a few years ago i got covid and never recovered. i went from exercising every day to completely bedbound. lost 40lbs. in and out of hospitals for over 2 years. saw 20+ doctors. bloodwork came back normal. "you're probably just stressed from being a founder."

@austinxwalker somehow enterprises are still skeptical to allow coding like this.

hiring in the age of AI: iโ€™ve reviewed hundreds of resumes this week. 99% are pure AI slop. the bar is not high. just be a human. show me you read the JD. show me you actually want the job. youโ€™ll instantly be in the top 1%.

being a solo founder is harder than i thought. i'm looking for a co-founder. the best companies are built out of deep collaboration and shared ownership. i've built the foundation. raised plenty of capital. now i want someone in the trenches with me. looking for: - very strong technical builder. has led engineering teams and shipped consumer-facing products - real startup experience, has taken a product from 0-1 or scaled it meaningfully. - good intuition and product sense - deeply cares about consumer health x AI - based in SF, or willing to relocate weโ€™re building a patient-led health system for the 100M people living with chronic conditions modern medicine has no answers for. if this sounds exciting, my DMs are open. i'll give $25,000 USD to anyone who introduces me to the person I end up partnering with.

Building solo is harder than anyone admits until they do it. I'm actually building a startup focused on founder mental health right now, so I see this exact struggle every single day. Recognizing when you need a partner in the trenches is a superpower. Love the Consumer Health x AI mission -I'll ping a few strong technical folks in my network and send them your way if there's a match!

@austinxwalker the 'already built and raised, now finding a co-founder' search is a very different animal than starting together from zero. good luck with it

@austinxwalker Itโ€™s going to get better. Donโ€™t think too much right nowโ€”we all hit a wall sometimes; itโ€™s part of our progress. Maybe you can still do it solo ๐Ÿ’ญ

@austinxwalker A greater sense of accountability, borrowing each others' strengths, and challenging each others' thinking are great benefits of teaming up with someone. Good luck in finding your partner โ€“ having a following on X offers a good starting point.

recruiting in 2026: the best candidates have infinite optionality. the only thing way to stand out: traction or mission. either youโ€™re doubling revenue every month, or youโ€™re building something so meaningful it feels bigger than a job. ideally, both.

@austinxwalker Resumes & cover letters were usually slop, ingratiating, suffering from sameness well before AI :) Short and succinct ones were usually the best. It makes the good candidates easier to spot because few truly stand out

observations building an AI-native company: - every resume is AI slop. if you want the job, write something personal. - you still need to be able to sell. the best candidates want to join something meaningful. - not using AI is like refusing to ditch your Nokia for an iPhone.
