Gak terlalu heboh. Kayaknya ortu lebih heboh pas dulu kakak keterima di salah satu PTN juga. Setelah ngobrol2 alasannya, mereka udah yakin saya bakal keterima, tp gak yakin kalau kakak saya bakal keterima🤣🤣 "Ambil raport kamu tuh jg gak ada adrenaline nya" 😅😅😅

Masih inget momen pengumuman SNMPTN Undangan: Lagi di mobil sama ortu, sore ada jadwal pengumuman. Bukalah pengumuman itu pas lg berhenti di lampu merah. Cek hape trus langsung "wah keterima!" Ortu, "wah alhamdulillah" Diinget2 biasa bgt ekspresinya😅😅

Rute Jakarta-Osaka itu harusnya bukan pengembangan tapi pemulihan? Karena seingat saya sebelum Covid sempat ada rute direct. Semoga segera pulih karena seingat saya dari jaman Pak Sandiaga Uno jd menteri pun sudah dibicarakan.

🇮🇩 mourns at the passing of one of her best sons yesterday. Juwono Sudarsono, the country’s former defence minister, national resilience institute deputy governor, and many more distinguished accolades. He was also the country’s first IR professor and graduate of LSE (his PhD diss remains a classic, look it up). But for me he is so much more than that. His distinct voice, calm composure, and sharp but compassionate insights running the defence ministry at a time of transition, while engaging with and empowering the civilian defense community, remain legendary. He thought that defense policymaking is not sustainable without a strong civilian defense community. He used to joke, “the civilians cannot be me and my driver.” I was privileged enough to spend some time with him in his last year in office and a few more after. In fact, I owe him my education and career as he kindly wrote my Fulbright recommendation letter back in 2009 (he was among the earliest Fulbrighters) and shaped how I think of militaries in general. I have so many fond memories of having coffee with him in Hotel Mulia where he always dressed sharp with his suit and tie. He said, “its about how you always carry yourself and what you represent and fight for wherever you go.” In those chats, I also learned a ton about why he thought Minimum Essential Force was necessary and how MOOTW and ‘non-military defense’ may have a been an important ‘middle ground’ during the transition days. But he also left me some homework, “Evan, no matter how advanced the weapons we have, they would go to waste if soldiers and officers are still worried about their kitchen table and where their career is heading. Those concerns also expose them to various intra- and extra-organisational pressures and overtures”. That message continues to resonate to this day, at least for me. Rest well Pak Juwono. We will do our best to carry your legacy—and homework—forward. 🫡🙏🏻

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Spent 10 days in India for the Raisina Young Fellow 2026. Grateful to be selected as one of the young fellows after a rigorous selection process. It was indeed valuable opportunities to learn about India's geopolitical stance and of course, its culture.
