My biggest number one feature request for LLMs is for them to initiate a conversation. Ever since the launch of ChatGPT, it’s been the same. You open any LLM app, you ask it a question or just chat with it. It’s time for LLMs to start taking the initiative. Imagine chatting with Claude yesterday about a job interview you had at 10am and at 11am you receive a notification from Claude asking you how the interview went. Or you’ve checked the stock price of a company a few days ago and receiving a notification that their stock went up. Or complaining about a health problem and checking up on your symptoms days later. Or venting about an argument you had with your partner and following up with you on the matter. So many use cases for this. I know it might come off as creepy for most people but I am very certain that this is what the future holds. It could be an opt-in, optional feature.

I didn’t get the chance to use Fable 5 for something complex. I am using Opus 4.8 for most things and 95% of the times, it really excels with whatever I throw at it.

Banning Fable 5 is ridiculous. The model is clearly outrageously smart and could be easily used for malicious reasons. However, banning it is not the solution. What we need is more regulation over what the average consumer and corporations are allowed to do with it. I am starting to think this is a marketing stunt. Also, if the US banned it, why are all countries affected by the ban?

I subscribed Claude’s 100$/mo Max plan. The end is near.
