Only ticketholders will be able to travel to New Jersey from the station in the four hours before the start of eight World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium, according to NorthJersey.com, which obtained a document detailing the plans. The matches will happen on weekdays and weekends in June and July, including on June 16, June 22, June 26 and June 30, according to reports. Neither FIFA nor NJ Transit have confirmed the report, but they also haven’t denied it. More than 130,000 commuters use NJT in and out of Penn Station every day, and the goal of the plan is to safely get thousands of fans to and from the stadium. Additionally, no one will be able to park at MetLife Stadium for any of the games.
